CROSSROADS CHURCH

Crossroads Church is a Pentecostal Church under Assemblies of God Fellowship. Designed in an International Style, the building was designed to be situated on a steep triangular lot overlooking the highway and train tracks in Pickering. The program brief included seating and parking for 140 constituents, while leaving room for a phase two expansion that would double the auditorium seating and number of classrooms. A cavea built into the side of the hill also seats 140, and features a tensegrity cross on it's stage. The challenging site, lacking in views, led us to focusing on a dramatic entrance, both open and inviting.
