SUSTAINABLE HOUSE
This single family home was designed for a suburban plot in Brooklyn. Inspired by the sweeping geometry of midcentury architecture, the butterfly roof creates the perfect spot for effective drainage. A central gutter would collect rainwater in an underground collection and filtration centre to be used for irrigation as well as indoor plumbing. Large upper windows in the living and dining area provide perfect task lighting for the kitchen island, as well as adding a sense of floating weightlessness to the high ceilings.
